Daniel Sidelmann

Daniel had a father who played the drums in church, so it came very natural to him to play as well. He started to get his first drum lessons when he was about 6-7 years old, and it was about that time he got his first drumkit. When Daniel was at the age of 16, he participated an audition with almost 60 other musicians, and was immediately spotted by one of the leaders from the Royal Academy of Music, who was a judge at the audition. This gave him the chance to play in a Big Band with people from the Royal Academy. One year later he left home and moved to the Danish capital to play and practice drums.

Daniel has played many different styles of music including; Samba, Latin, Jazz, Rn’B, Pop, Rock and Fusion, and has played with a variety of people including X-Factor Winner Linda Andrews, Simon Mathew and Vicky Beeching. He has through the last 10 Years enjoyed teaching people on all levels and ages. Daniel is also teaching at The Drumschool, Denmark.

At the moment Daniel is playing in the rock band “Ape of Neptune” (www.myspace.com/apeofneptune.com), the fusion band “The New Fuzz” and is also used as a session drummer live and in studio recordings.
