Playing Latin patterns on the drums can be very rewarding – requiring a lot of coordination to play the many variations from Latin America.

Rather than a steady pulse found most other styles of drumming – Latin music has a clave’ running through either in 3/2 (tention-release) or in 2/3 (release-tention).
