Jazz
Jazz drumming can be very technically demanding so it’s important to work through as many exercises as you can.
Dixieland Jazz started in New orleans in the 1920s and quickly spread to other parts of America – early Jazz drum kits consisted of a bass drum and lots of woodblocks, cowbells, washboards, triangles etc and most things were mounted from the bass drum. Cymbal stands and hi-hats were seen in the 1940s – drum kits have evolved massively over time.
