In this drum lesson we are playing through various eighth note New Orleans style grooves. Playing a sticking of eight notes and then turning this around to play straight drum grooves and swung drum grooves.
Once comfortable with the variations we add the stickings together to form a bar of sixteenth notes to play straight and swung. Playing the ride cymbal and adding the hi hats on the quarter note.
