In this drum lesson we are taking a look at the famous Amen Break. This drum break is used extensively in hip hop, drum and bass, jungle and sample based music.
Playing a four bar phrase, slowly to begin with and then up to speed between snare drum, bass drum and hi hats - opening the hi hats on the '+' of beat 3 in bar 4.
